A few weeks ago we packed the kids up one Saturday and decided to go to Yuba for the day. We love going down there in the summer and we felt like it would be fun. But when we got down there we were disappointed. The lake is so full that all of the beaches are covered up. The water is clear up to the road, there is hardly any place to park let alone play in the sand and have a picnic lunch so we turned around and headed home.
Around Levan Jared said, what if we just go swimming at the Nephi pool and then have our lunch at the park. So that is what we did. The kids loved it, and Jared had a great time jumping off the diving board. He said it reminded him of his childhood. While we were there we noticed that Paige really needed some swimming lessons. We had looked into them before, but because we are not residents of Payson, the price is too high. But at the Nephi pool it was a really great price.
Paige started swimming lessons on Monday the 4th of July. She went every morning for 2 weeks. She loved it. And by the end she was swimming much better.
I got to go watch her one of the days because I took work off. It was fun to watch her having a great time. She had 2 teachers and there were 3 little boys in her class. At one point they had all the kids sit up on the edge of the pool and do a sitting dive off the edge. The teachers were there to help if they needed it. All the boys went first and they each dove in then swam to the edge. Then it was Paige's turn. Her form was good and she tucked her head to dive in. She started leaning into the water and I thought everything was going great, but all of a sudden she twisted her little body and grabbed right onto her teachers head. (I about died laughing, yeah I'm that parent that thinks everything is hilarious). Her teacher scolded her a little and told her that the next time she should jump straight into the water. So Paige said "ok" and up she went to get in line again. The boys went and then it was her turn again. She looked good, leaned into the water, then bam!! She did it again. Hilarious!!! They moved onto something else after that.
We loved that she got to take swimming lessons this year. It was so much fun for her.

That's great! I know my kids are going down to Delta for swim lessons cause it's half the price, and it only takes one week!
