A couple of weeks ago, it was the NICU reunion for the babies. We were invited (since we are part of their family) to the Staheli Farm. There was fun stuff for the kids to do. They loved the tire swings and the wagon ride. They also had a bunch of animals for the kids to look at, a pumpkin patch, a giant bouncing thing and yummy refreshments. It was fun to see the other little kids that had been in the NICU too. Love these babies, and we are so very thankful for special Dr.'s and Nurses and staff.

T
T is for "Tuacahn"
This year we saw The Little Mermaid. It was so fantastic. It is by far the best show I have seen at Tuacahn. Amazing. I can't wait until next year. (P.S. I have to say that my hubby is so awesome. He stayed home and babysat the twins and Lucas so us girls could have a night out.)

S
S is for Springdale Orchards.
A couple of weeks ago we took the most beautiful drive out to Springdale to pick apples in the orchard. They have a cute little store and orchard out there. You take a bag, pick your apples then go in the store and have it weighed. You just pay by the lb. And of course you have to have their amazing Gelato. The kids loved that part.
We had a ton of apples when we got home so we dried some, made apple butter with some, and apple sauce with the rest. Next time we will have to get even more apples.

J
J is for "Judd's" It's short for Thomas Judd's Store, but we just call it Judd's.
This little store is in downtown St. George across the street from the carousel. It is the cutest little store with nostalgic candy, colorful drinks, and the best soup and bread sticks ever. The next time you are in St. George make this place a "must" on your to do list.

E
E is for "Enchanted Way".
Ok, I know this one was a stretch, but it's what we came up with for E:)
On the road between Hurricane and LaVerkin right before you cross the bridge on your right hand side there is a small road called Enchanted Way. It is lined with trees on either side and it takes you down to a small section of the Virgin River. From the bottom you can look up and see the awesome LaVerkin bridge. There is also another gate and a road that is locked up but it leads to some natural springs. It has been closed to the public for many years but there is a phone number you can call to make reservations for private parties.
Anyway I thought this was kind of cool and not something that you see everyday. Remember - exploring your community is more than just doing the obvious things, its also about finding things that are out of the way, hidden.

D
D is for "Dinosaur Discovery"
When my parents where here for a visit we went to the Dinosaur Discovery museum. It's a small museum but it has a lot of cool stuff. The people whose land the footprints were discovered on use to be in our ward growing up, so it has a little bit of nostalgia for us.
It was neat to let the kids see the footprints and other things they have there. Our favorite part was the origami room. they have displays of origami and a table with paper and instructions on how to fold your own. We spend a lot of time in there folding paper. The kids were super excited about all the things they were able to make.

C
C is for "Carousel". Downtown St. George's newest feature. It's a fun little thing to do with the family. The kids had a great time. I think the adults did too.
