Paige's Baptism

On Saturday February 5th, Paige made the very important decision to be baptized a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  I took her out a couple of weeks before and took some pictures of her for her invitation.  On Saturday we got up early and got ready and got to the stake center by 10 am.
Our Stake does each wards baptisms separately.  Since Paige was the only person in our ward getting baptized this month it was left up to us to get the program put together.  We asked my sister Hannah to play the piano, and my sister Mary to lead the music.  My mom said the opening prayer and then the young women's president in our ward, who also happened to be Paige's preschool teacher gave the cutest little talk about baptism.
After the talk, Jared baptized Paige.  I watched and cried during the whole thing.  Jared was so calm and Paige was to, but afterwards when she came up out of the water she gasped.  I thought she had lost her breath or something, but when I followed her into the bathroom to help her get changed she told me that the water was freezing.  Poor thing, we had all spent so much time telling her how warm the water was when we each got baptized.  I guess it's something she will always remember.
After the baptism, Paige was also confirmed by Jared and some of the men in our families.  Then we had a closing hymn and a prayer.  It was such a neat little program.  You could really feel the spirit.
After the program we invited our families back to our house for some lunch.  I had made 4 crock pots full of soup and we had rolls and cake.  There were so many people in our house, but it was so much fun.  I loved it and I know Paige was excited that everyone was there for her.
