Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
I just read the most interesting article about a family in California who litterally have no garbage. They downsized to a small house and they take glass jars, canvas totes and even pillow cases to the grocery store. They buy fresh meat and cheese, putting them in the glass jars to take home. They make their own all purpose cleaner and they buy compostable toothbrushes. Although it might be a little extreme for my life style, it still caught my attention. After doing our taxes and realizing that we have basically nothing to show for our earnings last year I realize that we buy a lot of "gee wizz" stuff and we need to stop. I have been using coupons and shopping bargains the last year or so, which has really helped, but I am beginning to think that is not enough. I vow to try harder. If you are interested in reading more about this family you can read the article here or check out their blog here.

It is interesting what people can do to save money, and honestly its sad to say that we overfill our garbage each week. I love couponing, and getting awesome deals! We got a printer today for $30 bucks because we traded in our old one to be recyled...me and Phil were both estatic. Good luck on your quest! And awesome on having your taxes done, I don't even want to think about it!
