Jared and his cousins, Jake, Tyler and Casey went to Flaming Gorge for a few days Ice-fishing. Now don't get me wrong. I enjoy fishing, but when you mix it with cold weather it just doesn't sound fun to me. Jared said they had a blast. He said it was like "Grumpy Old Men" my favorite movie. HaHa. They had tents that went on the ice and a big thing that drilled a hole in the ice. They set up camp on the shore next to where they were fishing.
They stayed up late every night and got up early each morning to fish all day long. Jared said the best part was just hanging out with his cousins. I can only imagine what these boys talked about, so I didn't ask :) But he did come home happy. They only caught a couple of the ugliest fish I have ever seen. They are called a burbot fish. Ugly, but apparently they are supposed to taste good. The boys had a good time and no one got hurt!! Also as a side note, notice the yummy plate of food in the picture? Yeah, well I guess Jared decided to take all of the steak out of our freezer for the trip. Hmmm, silly boys!!
