For Valentine's day we did our traditional family dinner. We had ribs, potatoes, green beans, sparkling apple cider, and fortune cookies. We ate our dinner by candlelight and used the glasses from our wedding. Valentines day for us is about celebrating our love for each other. I can remember growing up and there where some valentines days that I just hated because I didn't have a boy friend or a valentine, and my parents usually ignored the day completely. So we made our tradition many years ago and it has become a day that our family loves.

I think this is such a great idea for V-day! I always felt miserable when Feb 14th rolled around too. I'm definitely going to steal this idea when kids enter the picture for us =)
