After we went to Pipe Springs we headed to The Grand Canyon - North Rim. The weather was perfect that day, it had been cloudy most of the week and it was still a little cloudy so it was cool. We took a trail right by the lodge called Bright Angel Pt. It was pretty scary actually. Just a little path lined with rocks. I guess it wouldn't have been bad except Lucas did not want to hold any ones hand so he kept running up ahead of us. It was scary. But when we finally got to the end of the trail it was so beautiful.
I love taking my kids out to see our beautiful country. I hope they can appreciate the splendor of our world.
After visiting the Grand Canyon we stopped at Jacob Lake to eat a late lunch. They have the cutest little Cafe there and the food was delicious. MaKady and I shared a chicken sandwich that had cream cheese and cranberry relish. I know it sounds weird, but it really was good. It was a great little day trip and made for a super fun Saturday.
