Last Friday I was feeling kind of home sick. Not for my house - because you know I have moved over 15 times in my life and my parents have moved that many times as well. But I was homesick to see my parents and some of my sister's that I don't get to see very often.
I got off work a little early and loaded the kids up, asked my neighbor if she would feed our fish and water the plants and then we drove the 5 1/2 hours to Brigham City. We got there in the evening, but it was still light outside. The first thing my dad said was " Hi, do you want to go for a walk?" Of course the kids wanted to go, so off we went. Up a couple of blocks to the main street and then down Main Street, towards the brand new building in Brigham City.
Oh the Brigham City Temple - is is magnificent. The detail and care that went into building this temple is amazing. Like the little beehives carved into the stone on the side. The round windows that look like giant snow flakes. The copper baptismal font (there are only 2 in all the temples).
The fountain in front that they made small so there is no splashing and wasting of water.
The miniature apple and peach trees, already full of fruit.
Underground parking
It is really a beautiful temple. I can't wait to go up for the open house.
The rest of our weekend was fun to. We went to Crystal Hot Springs and MaKady, my Mom and I snuck out and went to the cutest little Antique Shop. We bought some fun hats.
