Soldier

A warm summer day, sun beating down, a light wind blowing, a few clouds hung in the sky.  Hearts blazing, tears streaming, pride in the hearts of all.  Godspeed dear soldiers. Until we meet again.

"See you guys."
God Bless you Kole.  We love you.

Trinity's Baptism

On Saturday morning Trinity was baptized by my dad.  She was so excited and it was cute to listen to her cousins that have already been baptized tell her everything to expect from it.  She was a little nervous but she did great.  We had a nice luncheon afterward, then back to Hannah's house for a nap.

Farewell BBQ

On Friday we headed to St. George for a farewell BBQ for Kole and birthday party for Tabi.  The food was great and it was so nice to have all of us there.  The only ones missing were my brothers who both live out of state.  I love my family so much, they are so supportive of each other.

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we went to Levan.  We love it there.  Jared's uncles and grandpa are part of the American Legion and they help with the program at the cemetery.  It is always great.  It was cold and rainy, but during one part of the program it cleared up and the clouds parted and we got some sunshine for just a little while.

After the program we went to Grandma &  Grandpa Mangelson's house for a potluck lunch, then home for naps.

After our naps we went to visit some friends in Nephi, then we went out to Tyler's house for a bbq.

If you notice an abundance of pictures with this little boy and tractors it's because he loves them.  He loves all vehicles actually.  He has been learning the names of different farm equipment, so he knows what tractors are, back hoe, track hoe, loader, roller, combine, swather, garbage truck, fire truck, etc.  He knows them all and loves them all.  It's just so cute.  Everything thing he does is adorable.  Maybe it's because he is the baby and we all spoil him.  :)

Love these girls, they are just darling.

Rainy Summer....So far

It's been so rainy and wet and cold so far this summer.  The kids are bored.  So we have resorted to letting them play outside in the rain.  I know right!!!   Uggg.  But what can you do.  My nephew Brock came to visit for the weekend.  The kids were looking forward to riding bikes, swimming, etc.  You know the normal summer stuff, but it rained...  What else is new.  They played ball and played in the sandbox...all in the rain.

Now I'm not normally one to complain, but honestly I am soooo ready for warm weather.

We made the best of it anyway.  We made homemade play dough.  We left it white so that the kids didn't fight over the colors and so that they didn't mix the colors together.  They especially loved throwing the cookie cutters across the table at each other.  HaHa!!  We even had a barbecue in the rain.  I know the kids had a good time....But MaKady did catch a cold:(

Talent Show

Well the end of the school year means a lot of things also come to an end.  Girl scouts for MaKady, tumbling for Paige, plus they each finished another year of school.  MaKady is all finished with 8th grade - now onto high school (I am still shocked that she is starting high school in the fall).  And Paige is finished with 2nd grade.  My kids are growing up way too fast.

For the end of 2nd grade Paige's class had a little talent show.  I was so impressed with the talents of these young people.  They were great.  A lot of the kids danced, some played the piano, some had art work on display, etc.

Paige's friend Ellery showed us all the little things she makes (shrinkadinks, I think).  They were so cute.  And Paige did a dance.  MaKady helped her make up the dance so it was more acting out the song than actually dancing, but it was darling.  I was so proud of Paige!!  I know it was hard to get up in front of all those people, but she just got up there and danced and it was great.
