I love Las Vegas. We lived there many years ago and I loved it. It's one of my favorite places. Every year for the last 9 years (except 2 years ago because of Tabi's wedding) Jared has gone to Vegas to help our friends put on their show "Mopars at the Strip". This year I decided I wanted to go.
Jared left Thursday morning to drive down with Tyler and Trent. I worked all day then picked up the kids in the afternoon and drove to St. George Thursday night. We spent the night in St. George and then I kissed my kids and left them with my sisters. I got to Vegas around noon. I was expecting to play, but we worked. HaHa. I hardly believed Jared when he told me that it was a lot of work, but there we were taking tickets in the ticket booth. I sat around with Jared and then about 4 we got to close up shop for the day.
Friday evening we went and ate dinner at the little restaurant in the hotel and then we went to Madam Tussuad's Wax Museum. Of course I forgot my camera. I have been there before but it has been many years and they have added to it since I went. I am always surprised by the size of these wax celebrities. I guess I imagine that these people are huge or something, but I was surprised that most of the women are my height. Then of course you have some of them who really are huge. anyway it was fun.
Saturday we got up and headed to our post again. Taking tickets in the booth from 8-4. Saturday was crazy weather day. It started out nice then got cloudy, rainy, windy, snowy, then it cleared up again. On Saturday night we went and ate dinner at the Rio and then we headed to Fremont street to ride the zip line. It was a blast. Not as thrilling as sky diving, but it was still so much fun. I loved it.
Sunday morning I got up early and headed back to St. George to spend the day with my kids and my sisters. Then I drove home late Sunday night.
It was a short weekend, but a much needed break from my kids (am I horrible for saying that?) I am so grateful for my sisters who where willing to watch my kids for me.

Looks like you had a fun time! Sometimes you need a little break, makes you a better mom! I thought you were going to go shopping too though....
