He spoke to us about consequences and actions and he told the kids that the things they do now, as teenagers can dramatically affect their future in ways they may not understand. He also spoke about trials in his life. He used an analogy of an arch, and likened prayer to the keystone.
MaKady, Marcus, Me
He finished his talk by quoting our beloved prophets:
"Prayer can solve more problems, alleviate more suffering, prevent more transgression, and bring about greater peace and contentment in the human soul than can be obtained in any other way." Thomas S. Monson
"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers." Gordon B. Hinckley
It really was a neat experience and I'm so glad that MaKady was there with me.
